Flew into town for a Steelers game and had some extra time so I ended up playing 2 rounds of golf Oct 25. I was on a football trip not a golf trip so I showed up with nothing but a glove and the staff treaded me great. The rental clubs were newer and pretty nice sim 2's and the course was in great shape minus the par 3 tee boxes. The greens were so fast, if you were above the hole you better drop it or it's probably rolling off. The elevation on the course was so fun for a guy who flew in from Florida. I would absolutely recommend this course to anyone in the area.

If you’re looking for a private club feel with public pricing look no further! After reading some reviews that were not so positive (first time playing this course) I took it upon myself to inspect hickory heights for all it was worth and to my surprise it exceeded all of my expectations. From the amusing layout to the rolling fairways you’re bound to have an outstanding round of golf. Bunkers are great and the greens roll pure. You can really tell the hard work the grounds crew is putting in and the updates that are soon to come. It is my impression that they are trying to become one of the top public courses in western pa and with the track they are on I believe it! It seems as though they take what the customer has to say and put the effort in to correct any popular issues that arise (tee boxes). The club house has to be one of the nicest public club houses in western Pa. If you’re looking for a new golf destination don’t skip by this course… it’s worth every dollar.

70 bucks must all go towards the carts. Greens are rock hard, fairway has dirt mounds deep puddles and plywood everywhere, most tee boxes are destroyed. Even a lot of the houses around are very unkept.
Edit: tried to play an early morning solo round for some nice solo time. They refuse to allow solo riders. Tee times completely wide open all morning and afternoon on a Wednesday. You’d think a half failing course that doesn’t fill times would want the business. Must have tight margins on those carts.
