This place is absolutely fabulous. It has some of the best views of any golf course I've ever played. It's not a cheap round, but the layout and design is amazing.

Just got back from a guys trip to golf the full course. If I was rating the course itself I would probably say it’s a four out of five. It’s still a little work in progress but it’s in great shape. The greens are awesome. Fast as all get out but I’m not going to complain about that. They could be a little more receptive to the ball but maybe that’ll come as they get some play. Nobody seems to like repairing ball marks but that’s also nothing new.
The issue is that the amenities just aren’t there for the price they’re charging. No food or beverage service or even availability. Wait, they gave us each one water for the four hour round in the cart cooler. No food of any kind is a letdown and a missed opportunity. Even after the round we opted to go back to town rather that try our luck again with the hit and miss service at the resort overall. . I assume that they’ll dial things in as time goes by, but for now anyway, Jug Mountain blows them away for overall experience. It’s not even close. The pro shop is pretty baren. Everyone we saw was friendly, but they just don’t quite live up to the price point they’re at currently.

Once fully completed and grown in, this course will be the best in Idaho. The holes are difficult and the elevation change is awesome. People complaining about the course not being in the best-condition are cherry picking. A golf course isn’t completed overnight. Give it some time and enjoy the unique holes.

This course is in an incredible setting. The clubhouse is in the hotel building, which is a spectacle. They are going for a Swiss skiing village vibe with the whole development and they nailed it. The layout of the course is really good. All my staff interactions were terrific. My lower rating is because the course is in such poor shape. The most common problem is areas that are soaking wet. There are also some burned out areas, but mostly the course is too wet. I understand the difficulty of maintaining such a facility in the mountains, so I grade on a curve for that. But the other courses in the area are in much better condition. They are finding a way to do it. For a course that charges nearly $200 per round, the condition of the course is well below my expectation.

I had a great experience playing at the Osprey Meadows Golf Course at Tamarack Resort in Idaho. From the first tee, I loved the views of Lake Cascade and the surrounding mountains. The course, designed by the renowned Robert Trent Jones II, offers a perfect blend of challenging golf and stunning natural beauty.
One of the standout features of Osprey Meadows is the diverse landscape.
The front nine winds through lakes, streams, and wildflower meadows, while the back nine takes you into higher ground, surrounded by majestic ponderosa pines. I particularly enjoyed the 17th hole, a par-5, for a long drive from the tee-box.
Throughout my round, I found the course to be well-designed, with a variety of challenging holes that tested every aspect of my game. The doglegs, split fairways, and wetland cross hazards kept me on my toes and demanded strategic thinking. The course conditions were impeccable, with well-maintained fairways and true-rolling greens.
After my round, I couldn't resist stopping by The Reserve, the on-site restaurant and bar. The outdoor patio offered a perfect spot to unwind, enjoy a refreshing drink, and take in the mountain views. The friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere were the perfect way to cap off an incredible day of golf with friends.
