Kauai Lagoons Resort Golf Club Tee Times

Stayed here for 1 night (1/4/26) after spending 5 nights in Poipu. We stayed in a top floor ocean view room in Building 1. The 2 bed / 2 bath unit was nicely appointed with a living room and full kitchen. Spectacular views looking out to the sea and bay with pristine lush hills in the background. You would never know you were in Lihue - Kauai’s most developed town. The hotel is surrounded by a golf course and the lagoons which provide both beautiful scenery and quality bird watching. But that’s about where the positives end. The hotel itself is isolated. There is no other infrastructure within a 20-30 walk, or 5-10 min drive which is made worse by the fact that the hotel does not have a single bar or eatery on site. Just a small grab and go with limited items. So if you’re planning on sipping a couple mai tais at the pool forget it. Parking is plentiful yet they charge a $30 fee per night. Anyone not staying at this hotel would ever have a reason to park there so it’s literally just an additional money grab tax for guests. Also check out is 10am - no exceptions. Front desk was very clear about this. If you’re planning on spending an equal amount of time on both the north (Hanalei, Princeville) and south shores (Poipu, Kōloa) I guess this place is somewhat convenient being about 50 min from the north and 25 min to the south, but I recommend staying in the south and taking a day trip to the north or vice versa. For Marriott loyalists, having a 2+2 unit with living & dining spaces was a plus for the four of us, but the Marriott Waiohai Beach Club in Poipu offers similar accommodations on one of Kauai’s best beaches, with tons of restaurants, bars, and shops in close proximity. If you’re like us and just need a place to crash near the airport for a night I suppose this hotel would suffice, but I would never stay here for longer than that.

Full disclosure...we had a full 1 bedroom with separate livingroom including efficiency kitchen so not a typical hotel room. It was awesome! Had early check-in access to our livingroom (lock-off bedroom wasn't available until late afternoon) which meant we were able to shower off and change into bathing suits to go relax poolside ASAP. The 1 bedroom suite is configured as a livingroom (with queen size muphy bed) with full bathroom, closet, kitchenette and lanai and a bedroom with another full bathroom, closet, king bed, loveseat hide-a-bed, mini-fridge, coffeemaker, microwave and lanai. All with water views (across the pool). 5th floor and above should have unimpeded water views. Only negative for us was the no charging to the room (so we always had to carry a credit card)...not a biggie but a minor nuisance. Plenty of dining options within walking distance, moments from the airport and ready beach access.

Beautiful views from our 4th floor well-appointed villa but it’s quiet only if remaining inside the room. Once out on the balcony, the tranquility erodes with the shouting and crying kids at the pool. No adult areas, no beach, and no restaurant or pool bar within walking distance. Definitely need a car to enjoy the area (as well as eating, unless you enjoy uber eats). A shuttle to the Marriott Kauai beach club would be very beneficial.

A great location- very secluded but with lots to do on property and nearby. We loved the activities they had planned and the staff are wonderful. The rooms are perfect for a family vacation where everyone still wants to have their own space. Wonderful place, we hope to be back.

Some of the best views on the island. Amazing rooms, large, beautifully done. There is a great lagoon behind you and expansive views in front of you. The gym is great and pool area nice. No bar or food service but we BBQ and cook in the room.
