Persimmon Ridge Disc Golf Course is hands-down a championship-level disc golf destination and, in my opinion and the opinion of many others, the #1 course in the state of Arkansas. It consistently earns recognition as one of the top courses in the world, and for good reason—it is a true fan favorite that delivers an elite experience from the first tee to the final putt.
The course design is world-class, offering a perfect balance of technical wooded lines, demanding shot shaping, elevation changes, and strategic risk-reward opportunities. Every hole is intentional, challenging, and fair, making it suitable for high-level competition while still being enjoyable for players who respect course etiquette and division integrity.
A huge part of what makes Persimmon Ridge exceptional is the ownership and stewardship of Steve and Kim Jones. They do an absolutely phenomenal job with upkeep and daily operation of the property. The fairways, greens, signage, and overall atmosphere reflect pride, passion, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. It’s clear this course isn’t just maintained—it’s cared for.
Regarding a negative review claiming that course play is conducted unfairly: that assertion simply does not hold up. Players are not forced or pressured to move up divisions. Rather, they are encouraged to do so only when their skill level has advanced to the point where they are clearly out-competing others in their current division. This is standard practice in competitive disc golf and is meant to preserve fairness, sportsmanship, and the integrity of competition—not diminish anyone’s experience.
Persimmon Ridge sets the gold standard for what a premier disc golf facility should be. From elite-level design to impeccable maintenance and thoughtful competition structure, this course represents the very best of the sport. If you’re serious about disc golf—or simply want to experience one of the finest courses on the planet—this is a must-play.

We played Persimmons Ridge on a disc golf road trip, and it was hands down my favorite. It is such a fun course, and the owners are literally awesome. It was priced great (they honestly could charge more), and we played three rounds. The pro shop has a huge selection. A must-play course!

My wife and I have been members at Persimmon Ridge for a few years now. We attend the minis there on a weekly basis and consider the other members and the owners, Steve and Kim, as family. It is such a welcoming place to play disc golf, hang out, and simply enjoy life with like-minded, good people.
The course is very well maintained, and there really isn’t a week that goes by without hearing someone talk about how beautiful it is. I’ve played many courses and attended minis all over the state during the eight years I’ve been playing. Not to take anything away from other places I’ve played—because there have been some great ones—but I truly believe our home club, Persimmon Ridge, offers the most welcoming, challenging, diverse, and fairly run minis I’ve ever experienced.
We have several experienced players who TD the minis each Sunday, each bringing their own flair to the game.
I wholeheartedly believe that if you’re looking for one of the best courses in the nation—not only to play, but to genuinely feel welcomed and appreciated, no matter where you are in life—you can’t go wrong with Persimmon Ridge.
Meet us there and sling some discs!

Let’s start off saying this about Persimmon Ridge. We will start with the owners. I started coming about a year ago and by the 3rd round they knew my face and they knew my name. The sweetest and friendliest owners of any business I have ever met. I have never felt unwelcome and it is always a positive atmosphere. The course itself is maintained and obviously rated one of the best courses in the world for a reason. Nothing negative to say on my end!

The best disc golf there is in Arkansas. Many different course options and each one is awesome. The people running the place are very helpful and very easy to deal with. Definitely worth a day trip if you're remotely close.
