We had a great time at the Short Course at Mountain Shadows Resort. The course was in excellent condition — the tee boxes and greens were very well maintained, and you can tell they take pride in keeping everything looking sharp. The greens themselves are definitely not very forgiving, and we had more than a few shots roll off with the slopes and some tough pin placements, but honestly that’s part of what made it fun. It adds a real challenge to what could otherwise be “just” a par-3 course.
The staff was friendly and welcoming from start to finish, and the on-course service really stood out. The beverage cart came by multiple times (4) during our round, which was appreciated.
As for pricing, it’s about what you’d expect for a Paradise Valley location — not cheap, but fair considering the scenery, conditions, and overall resort experience.
Overall, it’s a beautiful, challenging short course that’s perfect for a relaxed but still competitive round with friends. We’ll definitely be back. 2/16 26

This was our first time to Scottsdale for golf. Our stay at Mountainshadows was perfect. I absolutely loved the mid century modern architecture and vibes. The hotel is immaculately maintained and the staff were welcoming and accommodating. We played the short course twice and both times it was great. The pro shop and cart attendees ensured we were taken care of at all times. It’s been a while since I have witnessed customer service at this level, it was absolutely refreshing. The little things do matter and the Mountainshadows staff are leaning into that! We will be back.

We loved our short stay here. Room service was prompt, the rooms were very spacious with lovely amenities. The gym was amply stocked with cardio and weight training equipment. In the evening there was live music and we got to sit by the fire pits near the pool. There is also an adults only pool of people prefer a more quiet atmosphere. Meals were very high quality. We will definitely be back

Absolutely LOVE this hotel so much! Been here twice now and am always impressed by all the staff and hospitality.
The amenities are fantastic, the rooms are well designed, spacious, modern and comfortable. The views are gorgeous as you are nestled right near the camelback.
The food at Hearth 61 is great and if you order room service you get the same delicious quality.
Heated pools with two options and a great fitness centre with classes and free valet parking. A wonderful luxurious stay!
I could live here. I love it so much!
I had great service from: Tami (front desk), Fernanda (breakfast server), Melissa (breakfast server), all the valets were lovely! And front desk staff Olivia and one more woman whose name I can’t recall right now. I will add more as I remember.

My wife and I stayed at this resort on Valentine's Day weekend for our niece's wedding, and it was amazing!
I have to give Sydnee, office manager, two thumbs up and five stars for her awesome attentiveness when it came to our needs! I misplaced my necklace/cross but later found it among my luggage. However, Sydnee had the staff searching in all the areas that I had previously been, which says a lot about how much she cared about all of us who were there for the wedding party, which was a lot! Sydnee is a gemstone and definitely an asset to the Mountain Shadows organization!
The bed and pillows in our room were probably the most comfortable I've ever had the pleasure of sleeping on!
I want to take my hat off and express gratitude to the bartender, Cat, who literally made me one of the best Woodford Reserve drinks that I've had the pleasure of drinking in a while. She always made sure that my glass was filled and served with a lot of enthusiasm and a great smile!
Now, the food was freaking amazing at Hearth Restaurant, whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
I had the steak and eggs, which were to die for, and my wife had the avocado toast, of which she said was a 6 out of 10 in flavors!
Our server, Ezmerelda, was so great while taking care of a lot of us that were in our party! You ROCK, Ezmerelda, and are a great addition to the Mountain Shadows team! She even found out what they put in the butter patties that we had for dinner at the wedding. Because it was definitely a flavor bomb, and she found out from the executive chef that it was roasted garlic and a little bit of salt.
So I thank her for that and for even taking the time out to find out what it was! The dinner that they served at the wedding was unbelievable in flavor.
I had the short ribs, and my wife had the salmon, of which both melted in our mouths! Now, you know things are great when you eat the salad in its entirety! LOL!! I can continue on with the most amazing experience that we have had at this resort, but there isn't enough space, all the way down to the valet service.
PMSI and Nico took care of our cars when we needed it! Thanks, Nico!
We want to once again thank Sydnee and her ENTIRE STAFF at Mountain Shadows Resort in Arizona for a most amazing experience of our lives and for making our niece's wedding an awesome and memorable one! BTW, it was Elizabeth and Patrick's wedding this past Valentine's Day weekend, and I am the Marine guest that promised I would make this review, and I am a man of my word, and you guys are deserving of the accolades! Keep up the FANTABULOUS experiences for others, and we look forward to our future visit with MOUNTAIN SHADOWS RESORT!
Only one down part was when housekeeping walked in accidentally on my mother-in-law and sister-in-law but it's all good!
