Went to try to play 9 after getting off early from work at 1240 on a Wednesday. Got turned away saying the earliest tee time was 1:45. 40 carts sitting out front 15 cars in the parking lot and no one on the 1st 9th or 10th tee boxes. Both employees were eating lunch. When asking if I could pay and come back at 1:45 the manager said not till I’m done eating. Been visiting the pines for a little over a year and was thinking about getting a yearly membership. I’ll take my business elsewhere from now on. I understand not having a tee time should not give me priority but I was a single player with barely anyone on the course and plenty of carts. Should be able to take my money and get me out there. Aroostook Emerald mountain don’t have issues with it. Rtj has even thrown me out on short notice offering me to play the range until my tee times. Guess the pines are high class now. Make sure to book a tee time at all times or you’ll be turned away. (I usually always book tee times but thought getting off work early I’d be able to treat myself)

The place is run by a bunch of miserable old men that have no respect for others!!! The worst golf course I’ve ever played, I work out of town a lot and I’m leaving for a couple months tomorrow so I wanted to take my wife and 17,16,and 14 year old kids to have a good day on the course before I left. We play a lot on other courses so it’s not like we are new to the game. It started when I called to book a tee time the day before I told him I had 5 people and got an 8am tee time he got my name and said with an attitude be here 15min early and hung up on me, then we get there 25min early and he’s on the phone booking others that are calling, by the time he gets off the phone to help us it’s 8:05 and he tells us we’re late, well we get that sorted and he charges us for 4 carts whenever we only need 3 and over charges on the green fees then tells me he can’t refund me any of it and is rude like it’s our fault then we go to the next guy to get the keys tell him we only need 3 and he get rude and tells us we have to take all 4 carts. By the time we get to the 4th hole the manager drives up to (who is also playing behind us) and says, “ my name is Buddy Adams and I’m the manager here and y’all need to play faster we have golfers piling up” while we are waiting on the players in front of us then he drives off without letting me say anything it really pissed me off but I bit my tung to try and salvage the rest of the game to have a good day with my family before I leave, but for the rest of the day his two player team stayed on our 5 player teams tails hitting balls close to us on most holes, and finding out the closest players behind him were 3 holes back!!!! They did everything they could to make us as miserable as them, You couldn’t pay me to ever go back there and definitely will never suggest anyone else ever go play there!

If you like hills and a few blind tee shots, look no further - Great overall value especially on the weekend! Had to play early to beat the heat : ) Staff was super nice. Fairways are mown nicely, outside of that beware....especially all the red clay streaks around the course. Greens roll smooth but are extremely slow. I'll be back soon - Thanks!
