Course is beautiful, the ladies in the pro shop are so kind BUT the golf marshal (as he called himself) is a jerk! Came at our group like sir Farquaad from Shriek. He was such a jerk to us on the back nine …. He would have kicked us off but he was off the clock as he told us… we’ve played many courses and are extremely respectful. I watched him Tee off on a hole beside us and he almost fell over.. that makes me think he might have had some drinks or was just having a bad day. Needless to say I don’t care to come back and play again.

Great course for a small city. Staffers were very friendly. It is a par 70. So a little bit shorter then most. But some VERY challenging holes, more so if you have a little cut it draw to your game. Tree lined fairways on a few holes, and scenic views from almost every hole. They also have "tee boxes" (in photos) I couldn't decide if it was like a change bowl at a convenience store, take, leave 1. Or if it was too keep the tee boxes clean (very little tees on the ground) either way it was funny, cute, ingenious. Pick your adjective. Good times overall.

Driving through Afton our way back to Indiana from the park. We always have our clubs in the car and decided to stop and play. The nice lady in the shop got us right on the first tee. What a gem this course turned out to be. It got pretty busy but we kept moving along pretty quick. We played 18 holes in just over 4 hours and still had to to eat the drive in the shop manager suggested. Greens were just the right speed and in great condition. A few dry places, but it's hot out. Not too long but plenty long enough for us, maybe 6,200 yards. Carts were newish. Not much to buy in the shop but we bought hats. We love finding places like this when driving across our beautiful country.
