What a gem! We played Spooner Golf Club during a Packers game and practically had the course to ourselves—absolute bliss. The layout is fun and forgiving in spots but still keeps you honest with some well-placed hazards. The greens rolled true, and the whole course was in excellent shape for late in the season. It’s got that classic Northwoods feel: quiet, scenic, and just a touch rustic in the best way. Staff was welcoming, and the pace of play couldn’t have been better (thank you, Packers!). Already looking forward to coming back—this one’s worth the stop if you’re anywhere near Spooner.

The restaurant is awsome! Wings and burgers daily. Friday fish fry, Saturday prime rib. Beautiful view! They do take outs as well.
A real must go to spot haven if your not a golfer!!

My spouse and I played this course on Tuesday in the late morning. We were surprised to see how full the parking lot was on our arrival. We learned part way through the round in speaking with other golfers that the Women's League was wrapping up. It slowed the pace of play a little bit, but we still accomplished 9 holes in 2 hours.
Carts were clean and smooth; they were in good operating condition. The greens, tee boxes, fairways, and bunkers were all well maintained. When all of these things were combined with sunshine, 80 degrees, and a slight breeze it made for a wonderful time at course we had never played before. We would definitely return to play here again if the opportunity arose.
