Nick “Craven Moorehead” Dennis There's a reason the term "Plumgusta" is thrown around. This is course is more religious experience than round of golf. I'd highly suggest going early in the morning or later afternoon to get the best experience.
The conditions are perfect and the course is a challenge. If you're in position shooting under par is very possible. However, getting out of position even a few times can destroy your round.
Those who appreciate quality greens and surrounds will fall quickly in love.
I can't say enough quality things about plum and you'll have to judge for yourself

Classic old school Northwoods golf experience. My favorite 9-hole course. Preserved early 1900's design and well maintained. Great Golf Fun in the Great Northwoods.

Played Plum Lake for the first time on Monday, September 8. Have been coming to the Northwoods since the early 1970’s, but have never played this course. Since I have worked on the ground crew at Blackwolf Run in Kohler for the past 36 years, I think I know a good course when I see it. Check in was fast and efficient in a very nice clubhouse. Didn’t expect that. The course was in great shape, with lush fairways and roughs, nicely edged sand traps, tees that were recently aerified, and greens that were in excellent shape for this late in the season. The only fault I saw and felt were the uneven fairways, probably due to age, construction techniques and usage. The greens and surrounds were elevated a bit, but best of all, very true and consistently in speed in speed and condition. I know this takes a lot of work, keep it up!
