Recently visited Lakesshore as I haven't been to this course in over 5 years and I remembered it being awful service. I thought for sure things had to have gotten better. They weren't. I called the morning of and set up an early afternoon tee time. I explained that I had a buy one get one plus cart coupon. I also asked how much a bucket of range balls was and the guy said $5 for 40 balls or $2.50 for 20. When I got there they made us pay 1/2 of a cart fee which was $9 for 9 holes. That means that normal golf cart fee is $18 for 9 holes??? That seemed crazy high. After arguing for a long time I realized nothing was going to change and I still wanted to get to the range before my tee time. I asked for a small bucket and pulled out $3 to pay for it. The guy then tells me they don't have small buckets. They have just one bucket size and it's $5. I explained that I talked to someone that morning who said there were two sizes. I was getting very frustrated at this point and told the gentleman that. He decided to dump 1/2 the bucket out and then said he would give that to me for $3. I put my bags in the cart that I was told to go in to and then was told I had to switch carts so I had to unload everything and switch carts. All of this to play at a course that is poorly cared for and has the constant noise of cars on the interstate which is right next to the course. I would not recommend this course to anyone especially when there are so many better options in the Fox Valley.

My high school son and three of his high school friends called to get a tee time on a Saturday they gave him a tee time and a quote of $8 apiece since they're juniors. When they got there the teenage kid behind the counter told them it's $15 a kid. I sent an email to the contact us page on the website with no response. I can see why the course loses money every year. In fairness of the review process I was finally contacted by the course manager and he did attempt to rectify the situation after reading this review.

I like this golf course, but unfortunately it won't be a golf course much longer since the city manager decided to sell it and did it as secretively as possible so there couldn't even be a city referendum. I can't wait for them to sell Menominee Park next.../s
