You know what im about to say.....
Its Geneva....and yup, it lives up to the hype. Luxurious carts, great service, great tacos at the stand on the course.
Rebecca the cart girl, went back to the clubhouse to make us white russians.....
Top notch service. And the course.....wow
Even though the first three holes were being seeded.....exceptional.
Great job. Great time. Can't wait to do it agin.

As a Chicagoan, I used to think of the Grand Geneva Resort as the old home of Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion. Thank God for women those days are gone and buried under two magnificent golf courses, The Highlands and The Brute. Now I think of Grand Geneva as a must-play golf destination. The Highlands is the links-style sister course to The Brute (see my Brute review too). It’s a very beautiful, undulating track that will force you to play shots off of hillsides, deep bunkers and high fescue. The glaciers thankfully missed this area in Southern Wisconsin, leaving a landscape that rises and falls with the winds and lakes that sparkle and draw your golf ball to eternal rest next to the walleyes laughing from the bottom. But who cares really, when you’re playing a breathtaking course, manicured to perfection. There are a lot of big false fronts on the greens which will spit your ball back 50 yards from the green if you’re not above them. Beware. The steep hills and elevated tee boxes are fun and the fauna is amazing (see my pictures of the large wild turkeys and even bigger sand hill cranes). I even saw sea gulls flying towards Lake Geneva a couple miles away. The Highlands cost more ($93 for 18 holes with cart) than The Brute but I’m not sure why. The staff is very friendly and the practice area is free and expansive. I highly recommend playing The Highlands and will be back this fall to get my revenge on this Scottish villain.
