One of the most beautiful and challenging golf courses in the Midwest. Service was amazing and Marc the starter/marshall was very informative and entertaining! Appreciated he was out on the course periodically to make sure pace of play was maintained. The 19th hole was a nice addition and a fun way to end your round. Definitely would go back.

This course has an interesting history. It was built in 1900 and private. It has a train track running right through it. It was sold to the city of Lacrosse and the railroad said no more hitting across the tracks, so holes were shorten and it lost a lot of character. So its a mix of old and new holes. While short it plays longer and tougher with the uphill shots on various holes. The condition was good. It was very busy and there were too many carts. Does anyone ever walk?

I would say with how busy it was during their tournament they handled it pretty well. They do a pretty great job with taking care of the course. The only downfall we had was with the pin locations on the greens. They had placed the pins in tough locations meant for the tournament. It would have been nice if they would had informed us when we booked the tee time versus telling us after we paid for it. Other than that great place to play!
