what a great place!! beautiful course. truly gorgeous. Staff members are friendly and super helpful. This is our third visit because we are made to feel welcome each and every time, and the course is breathtaking. Northwoods at it's best.

Beautiful course with elevation changes. The gal in the pro shop was helpful and friendly. The course is very tight, so if you are going with the guys and plan to have a few beers, you might enjoy a course that is more forgiving.

My husband and I spend three days golfing in the area of Hayward and Cable (he is the golfer and I ride). This course was beautiful! The views were amazing, the course was tough... bring lots of balls. While we were in the area we golfed 'Hayward Golf Course' and 'Big Fish Golf Course' as well as this course. Of the three, this was the worst. We purchased the Northland Golf Card which allows us to play on 12 different courses. Some of the courses charge for a cart and others do not, no big deal. Not one of the courses has charged for me to ride in the cart, but this one did...$16.00. And this course advertises that 18 holes with a cart is only $55.00 for the time that we scheduled. Nothing is stated about a fee for someone to ride along. We paid $36.00 for the cart and my ride along. However, that is not why I do not recommend this course but I certainly do not understand the need to charge for someone who is just riding along! The hills up and down this course are part of what makes it amazing; however, our cart had no brakes and every time we hit a bump in what they called a cart path, the top came off of the cart and we needed to stop and put it back on. That brings me to the cart paths. Horrible is an understatement. The wash outs were at places over a foot deep and the wooden paths over the wetlands and swamps were falling apart in some places and actually ratchet strapped to bog pines in other places. The signage to get to the correct greens had either fallen off, never put up, or in places that couldn't be seen. Because of how steep everything was and how bad the wash outs were, going the wrong direction was precarious.
