I'm hesitant to rate this so highly bc I don't want this gem to start getting overcrowded, but it is what it is and DV is an excellent golf resort for any group looking to do a low key golf trip.
They have 3 9-hole courses and the rates are super reasonable. I've gone there multiple times with groups of 7+ and they have always been very accommodating of our tee times/groupings.
The layout is very interesting and they have some holes (like a 110yd par 3 that plays 60 yard bc of a 100ft drop off) that are unlike anything else I've played. The conditions are fairly average, but considering where it is and how much you're paying, it's actually quite solid.
The hotel next door makes lodging easy and nearby Hi-Point steak house is perhaps the best bang for buck meal I've ever had. There's even a gas station less than a half mile away that has groceries, hot food options, and a full coffee bar.
If you're looking to play a quick golf trip for under $500, it's hard to beat Deer Valley.

This is my favorite golf course in Wisconsin. Absolutely gorgeous views; deep in the heart of the wilderness and farmland. You'll see plenty of wildlife and prairies, not to mention a well taken care of course. It is very hilly and long, so I'd recommend a cart if you decide on 18 holes. I highly recommend this course.

It is a beautiful and challenging course. Not many flat lies, as you will find out on the 1st hole. Tuesdays are a great deal!! I love this course. The normal 18 is(Prarie and Ridge). The Valley course has some amazing holes but has blind drives and seems to be a tighter 9.
