Beautiful par-3 9-hole golf course, challenging and fun to play.

One has to drive up a hill off of US-101 to get to this oasis at the top, but the drive was well worth it. Friendly staff, and there are frequent deals to be had to save on the green fees before you arrive. There are obviously "regulars" who use this course probably daily, and we gladly obliged and let the "eager beavers" start before we did. Initially, as other reviewers have mentioned, there was a logjam of players all at once, as the tee times are squeezed too tightly together. By letting the "eager beavers" go first, we didn't have the problem of bunching much after the first hole and, as a result, had a very pleasant experience. A powered golf cart is a must. LCGC is very well maintained, with wide fairways in a beautiful environment. For the most part, homes are off the course, but if you play off of the front tees (despite the staff assumption that all men play on one set, all women play on the other, use your playing ability and any potential hazards to determine which tees you play off of). you'll have less of a problem. It's a 9-hole course, with the assumption being that you'll play off of one set of tees the first 9, another the second 9. The course itself is beautiful, and you'll spot wildlife such as geese and, at certain times of day, deer, which made the experience more enjoyable, as did the fact that there aren't a lot of water hazards or bunkers. There is a basic driving range adjacent, though on a warm spring day - and it gets hotter up at LCGC than at sea level - you'd best do this part quickly...and, don't forget your sunscreen!

First time golfing and felt incredibly rushed. I was one of two people in our group of four who had never golfed before and I was super excited to go. I read great reviews on the course and I was excited to try it out. During our first hole after we had all teed off, a woman who worked there drove up and told us we needed to speed it along because we're going too slow. She told us we needed to go faster in the rudest tone. Did not once ask us if we were first timers, just drove up, interrupted our conversation, and said we needed to go faster. I felt so rushed and not valued as a customer whatsoever. We booked our tee time just like everybody else, I’m sorry the golf course booked them so close together. I understand that it can be frustrating being stuck behind people who are slow but we offered each person behind us to go ahead of us and everyone said no. This would have been a great day but she ruined it.
