This is a great course for beginners. I played all 3 (Forrest, Lake, Mountain). I felt the forrest was most challenging. All the courses were very well maintained. The views are awesome and so relaxing. The staff was great and very friendly. I highly recommend for beginners and can't wait to return.

Each August I organize a golf trip for 8 to 12 older guys. We have been taking this trip for over 30 years and have played courses in all of the new England states and New York.
From our arrival, the staff here made us feel welcome, helped with our clubs and told us we were going to have a great time.
The three nine-hole courses at Stratton allowed us play 18 holes with a different feeling each of the three days we played here.
Conditions of the course were fantastic. Fairways and greens were well kept and compared with the best courses we have played on any trip we have been on.
Highly recommend the courses at Stratton for relaxing and enjoyable golf.
A nice plus is the Green Apron restaurant at the course. Again, a cheerful and upbeat staff with good pub food.
Our tee times that first day was at 1 PM so after playing we decided to have drinks and a meal at the course before checking in to lodging. Drinks and food were all we expected. good social spaces inside and on the deck.
By the way Karen Gypson handled our reservations for lodging and golf and could not have been more helpful. We had a few changes due to some health issues, (one at the last minute) and Karen took everything in stride. (She never even swore under her breath) Ask for her, for smooth reservation help.
