Packsaddle Ridge Golf Club Tee Times

We just hit Packsaddle and it is an exceptional course. In fact it used to be the home course for JMU golf. The course has some steep terrain but allows a mid level golfer like myself to manage a decent score. The fairways are well manicured and the greens are in great shape. The club house is enormous, the carts are new and the staff is friendly. give this course try and you won’t be disappointed.

We were in town for a wedding from WI. We stopped here to play Saturday morning. It was absolutely beautiful, you cannot beat these views. The amount of wildlife on the course was astounding and I loved every bit of it. You can tell they are doing as much as they can to make things better. Some of the greens were a bit rough, but it was still an awesome time and I would come here again. Highly recommend if you are an average golf player, just looking to have some fun with friends and family.

Played Packsaddle Wed 10-15-25. Greens and fairways were in great condition, white tee boxes were rough, but they were working on them. From the white tees very challenging, but for a bigger hitter could move to blue or black tees. The maintenance crew were out and respect-full as not all courses do that. Staff was courteous and attentive and the clubhouse is awesome. Beers on the deck overlooking 18th hole made for a great day. I highly recommend putting Packsaddle on your list to play as this mountain course will challenge any golfer and the views are just spectacular.

Packsaddle is awesome!!! Absolutely love it there. The views and vistas are stunning. The course is in excellent condition. Out of the way but a must do if you love golf!!! There are several holes that are extremely challenging but overall a must do!!!!

This is far and beyond the worst golf course I have ever played in my life. I played 11 holes before I had to turn around, I’ve never once quit on a course before, and I’ve played plenty of goat tracks. I truly believe the fair market value for this course is $10 (cart included). If you have to pay more than that, for your own sake, please do not play it. The course is in horrific shape, you can’t see your ball unless you’re right on top of it. I talked to the owner, and he was nice, and he understands the course is in terrible shape (they can’t find employees). They gave me a voucher after to come back for free later because they felt bad, but I gave the voucher to some dude jogging on the side of the road because I knew I’d never go back even for free. The views are beautiful though.
