We carried my mother to Tides Inn last night for her 93rd birthday. The service, the atmosphere and the food were all fantastic!
It is a step above any resort I’ve ever been to.
I want to give a special thanks to our server, Ruth, who helped make our dinner so special.
She was so attentive and sweet.
Thank you Ruth!

We've stayed at The Tides Inn twice now and it's a lovely place to spend some time with the family! The clientele seems to trend more mature but if you are there with kids it is still very family friendly for the families who prefer a little slower pace.
Check In: Amy was lovely! It was very easy to register, Amy gave my kid a complementary stuffy that he IMMEDIATELY attached to and it was so cute to see him take it everywhere for the remainder of the stay. The lobby is clean and well organized. The restrooms are clean and easy to access and they have a family friendly restroom as well.
Recreation: There is a chess board front and center in front of a gorgeous wall of windows to look out at the property. Inside the lobby they have games that you can play, borrow, take to your room etc. The lawn games are also great for a kid when you don't want to be in the pool. The pool is wonderful! No lifeguard on duty so swim at your own risk. The pool attendants are very on it and make sure to keep us hydrated and help if anything is needed. There are bikes that you can borrow on site, including a trailer for kids who might not be able to ride themselves. My kid had a blast being trailered around. We also love the things available to borrow like the paddle boards, kayaks, and canoes, all included with the resort fee.
In the Room: With it being an older establishment, the structures can be a little dated, however the amenities are still great. The bathrooms are spacious and clean, the beds are very comfortable, and we chose a room with a balcony and it was great to see the water and get some easy fresh air. The TV options are a little limited, however they did have the option to connect with google cast which allowed us to use our own streaming or play YouTube for in room entertainment.
Food: We checked in on a Sunday which was a little tricky for dining options in town but we made it work! After the last stay I felt that it was important that I brought our own snack options for the kid, and a lot of fresh food for us. I will say that I think he lack of fresh food (think freshly cut apples, oranges, fruits etc, even simple salads) is lacking so I make sure to bring some fresh food that I know I'd like. It's rough to live off chicken tenders and fries. The bars inside are fully stocked and Dean makes great drinks. The breakfast is nice too, the biscuit is perfect, and the waffles are great. Some of their options come off as trying to hard but not hitting the mark but if you stick with the basics they do good. Also the head waiter could win a Travis Kelce lookalike contest so that was a fun surprise. Also, if you want to eat in town, they will drive you and pick you up to certain restaurants, they have a list up front of where they go. I thought that was a wonderful feature.
Overall, as a family who prefers a quieter experience, but still lots of pool time and play time, this is a great location. We heard they're doing some remodeling to their older structures and I'm excited to see how those turn out. We're excited to come back next summer!

My family really enjoyed our visit. The property is beautiful and very family friendly. My 9 year old son and husband enjoyed the pool and boardwalk. The meals were delicious and service exceptional, whether by the pool or in the high end restaurant. Our room was always clean and well appointed. Highly recommend!

TLDR: We had a heavenly stay at the Tides Inn! Everything was lovely and we can't wait to come back!
We chose the Tides Inn for our babymoon getaway and had such a wonderful time. The whole resort feels luxurious and beautiful, from the immaculate landscaping to the beautifully maintained trails and boardwalk. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and we loved all the thoughtful little touches that made this resort stand out - like the little snacks in the room and the wonderful treatment our dog got with her own bed, bowls, toys, etc!
The customer service was outstanding and we were greeted with friendly smiles everywhere we went. I definitely recommend grabbing a seat at the bar where the expert bartenders whipped up delicious cocktails and mocktails. At the pool, the staff was so courteous and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed! And overall we just felt really welcome everywhere and had great conversations with folks all around the property - you can really see how hard people work to make sure you have a great time.
The facilities were in excellent condition; we could always find a nice spot by the pool or a quiet pair of Adirondack chairs to take in the sunset. We loved all of the included activities, and while we didn't get to partake in any of the add-in excursions, we were really impressed with the offering they had - art classes, boat trips, paddleboard yoga, etc. I don't think it's possible to be bored here!
And the food was excellent too - both at the casual Fish Hawk restaurant by the pool (maybe the best fish & chips of my life!) and the higher end Salt & Meadow, where we were blown away by the crab cakes and lobster.
The whole resort is so tranquil and quiet, and we felt so relaxed and happy here.
Such a memorable experience, we can't wait to come back as a family of three someday!

Boated up this summer to go to Fish Hawk, the pool bar. It's typically around $150 for the two of us to lunch with a couple drinks. Not cheap. They wanted $25, for us to park the boat, to go to their bar, and drink. I have tried since to see if they charge to park on their blacktop, to go to their bar, and drink.
To the bartender working the day we pulled away, the owners took your thirty some dollar tip. Glass half full, they ended up not getting it either.
The oysters at Merior, were delicious.
