This place is a shell of what it used to be. For golfers who are serious about practice and game improvement, this simply ain't it, and I say that as a native San Antonion who's been coming here for 20 years plus. It first started with the addition of matts that are mandatory Monday thru Friday. You get two days a week to hit off actual grass, and you better get there early if you want to actually get a spot. The condition of the range balls is also terrible. It's so bad that any given bucket will have at least 25% of the balls be unplayable. Now for short game. They used to have a dedicated chipping green with a green side bunker and a dedicated putting green, and of course they did away with that. All there is now is a small green with no bunker by the 9th green that is putting only. Then came the addition of that god awful turf putt putt green. It's huge and takes up so much space and is quite frankly useless. It's sad because this used to be a decent practice facility that was central in the city, but not anymore. Alamo City Golf Trail don't bother responding to this either, nothing will change. But hey at least they have an indoor sim!

HORRIBLE!!! I work late and hours say they close at 11! So I rush 45 min to get there I get there 10:32 they say they stop selling everything at 10:30 so following week I rush and get there at 10:25 they say we can only sell small bucket. So ok I was upset but said ok they told me I would have to get there by 10pm to get large bucket. Then following week I get there at 9:55 they say they decided to close early and yes weather was great. I’m fuming then one of the employees asked what my job was that I have to get there so late. WOW really! Then I say it’s hopeless to go late and a few weeks go bye I say I will get there early and that was this past Saturday weather was great I was taking my girlfriend on date night I just bought her new clubs and we get there at 9:20pm I go to pay nobody behind register no sign and the bartender tells me they are closed she say they do what they want. I can only see is they are open to 11 but want everything done at 11 to go home early so I’m sure the owner is rich don’t care about extra money because I wasn’t only one in line three people got news they decided to close early. I hope they change there hours on website to say they close at 9 because hard working people drive across town being lead to believe they close at 11 when they don’t. I’m so angry and if the owner doesn’t know what’s going on I hope he or she can see it by going once in while at these times they keep changing.

Same concerns as last review, went to try it out for the first time to this range with my daughter and definitely won’t be going again. Overpriced range balls from 5+ years ago maybe covered in mud compared to other ranges like Mac Wylie or r2M that actually care about the “practice” aspect of golf ranges. Can get more out of Topgolf than this place for same price.
