There is no driving range at this course. They do have a few netted hitting bays, a putting green and a chipping green.
Pro shop was clean and well stocked. Staff were friendly and fast. Course was in pretty good shape but had been over watered in many places and the lies were very thin. Greens were running true and fast. Was hard to get a chip to stop on the green. They were mowing the greens and we had to wait a few minutes on two greens for the guy to finish mowing and put the flag back in the hole. Most of their golf carts won't connect with Bluetooth so you can play music. These are minor criticisms.
Riverside is a great layout and an historic course, opened in 1929. We had a good day of golf.

Course was in excellent condition...but, gameplay was slow due to clubhouse allowing twosomes to join in at random places during play. Also, it would be great if the marshal can please monitor gameplay better by finding the slow group and tell them to pick up the pace or pick up their ball. Today I was told to turn in my cart early because it was getting late, no due to our gameplay but because of overbooking and allowing walkons to be put in regardless. It's ok to tell them no and to come back another day or mention to them one of the other great Alamo Golf Trails courses. Do better. thanks

Played 18 @ Riverside on 2/23. The course is in excellent condition, especially considering the time of year. If I had to point out an opportunity for improvement it would be the tee boxes, which I found to difficult for the longer tees that I use. Made multiple jokes about the need for a hammer or a drill needed to get the tee seated to my preference (this is only nitpicking). The staff, facilities, and the course itself were all outstanding. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking for an enjoyable golf experience.
