I had a great time at this course! Let me explain the 4 star rating: 1) driving range 10/10: the grass was watered and in good shape 2) greens 6/10: they actually roll pretty well But there’s several greens under repair and there’s a hole on the back 9 in which they are currently not Using the green which is under repair — they put the flag stick in the fairway and it’s a par 3 playing 100 Yards from blue tees. 3) course condition: 7/10 beautiful palm trees and water on the course. A couple holes border the ocean. The fairways are mostly well watered and the course is very pretty. I’m judging everything based on Chicago courses, which tend to be very green — and this was my first time playing in Texas and there wasn’t nearly as much green. If you hit a fairway, expect a ton of roll here because it’s very dry Staff 10/10: very nice staff On course cart service: 0/10 there was not a cart girl circulating — make sure that you buy your beverages in the clubhouse before the round Club rentals: 10/10, titleist clubs with regular flex shafts and Scotty Cameron putter. Comes with two sleeves of balls. Sand traps: 1/10. Very hard sand that plays like you’re hitting off of hard pan/dirt. You have to essentially treat it like a chip and take all ball. Overall: 8/10 course! This is the place to play if you’re in the south padre area. If you’re looking to strictly come here for golf, there are much better locations to visit for a golf trip, if you’re looking to Enjoy a beautiful beach and play a round of golf while you’re here, this is the place to go

It’s the middle of winter, it’s South Texas, and it cost $50 twilight rate to play a very nice golf course. The layout is interesting and fair. It’s windy as it is on the coast so choose your tee box wisely. Fairways were in decent shape (still tight lies) and greens were super fast. One temp Par 3 on the front as it looked like they had re-sodded the entire green. Wasn't a big deal. Carts were in good shape, had GPS, and were quick to lock you down if you ventured to close to the green. Clubhouse people were friendly and the cart attendant was great. All in all a great experience.

2 club wind all day, it will beat you up. Play it safe on the first 4 holes until you get used to it, and bring extra balls 😁😁. I was extremely impressed with the greens, they looked real slow, but were actually quick with true roll. Staff in the shop were real pleasant, but had to look for staff in the grill twice to get served. Cart gentleman was extremely helpful, overall, good little place to play.
