First time playing, every single member of the staff there was friendly and welcoming. The course was phenomenal, super fun! Course itself is open but the greens are tough! Nothing was a straight putt which is what made it challenging. Loved it, in my top 10 courses for sure!

Buckhorn has a lot going for it. It's fun and playable, and it's very well maintained. It is also very forgiving in general. From a playability perspective, this is a very good value. The reason for 3 stars is the pace of play is absurd. ~5 hours for a round is common, and we have had to wait 15 min on tee boxes which obviously impacts your round. Everyone is friendly, but there really isn't anyone pushing the pace of play so it becomes much less fun than it should be

I’ve really been enjoying playing this course, it’s an open well maintained fun course. Actually shot my PR this past weekend. I’m from San Antonio and we’ve been experimenting with courses on the outskirts due to in city courses being horrible. The pace of supply here was amazing for a Saturday morning, Starter wouldn’t let you tee off until the group in front of you was on the green. The call sheet also felt really well spaced out
