I recently visited the club house Friday as a guest and unfortunately had a very uncomfortable interaction with a bartender named Lisa.
Earlier in the evening, someone in my group left before paying their tab, so I covered their bill along with my own. When my check was returned to me, Lisa approached and asked if the tip amount was correct. When I confirmed that it was, she loudly addressed the entire bar (which was semi-full at the time) and pointed directly at me saying, “This girl tipped me under 10%.” She then announced she was “done,” told everyone they needed to leave, and repeatedly told me I needed to “get an Uber.” It was made very clear to the entire room that she was blaming me personally.
The situation was extremely public and embarrassing. I was not intoxicated and was not causing any disruption. In fact, when she first questioned the tip, I immediately offered to increase it if she brought the check back. She refused. As I was leaving, I even returned to apologize if anything had come across rude and again offered to leave an additional tip. That was refused as well, and she continued telling me to “get an Uber” in a dismissive tone.
Regardless of anyone’s opinion on tipping, publicly singling out and embarrassing a guest in front of an entire bar is highly unprofessional and not the level of hospitality I would expect from an establishment like this. I made multiple attempts to resolve the situation respectfully, but they were dismissed.
I genuinely enjoyed the atmosphere earlier in the evening and had hoped to return on weekends to golf and spend time at the bar. However, experiences like this make it difficult to feel comfortable coming back if this is how guests may be treated.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as situations like this reflect poorly on an otherwise nice club environment.

This is one of the best public run golf courses in the area. The bar is sensational. The food is great. The course is magnificent sometimes too crowded. I would avoid weekends but generally this is a really well-run establishment almost private club kind of service. As I've been a member of several private clubs, I would say the service is terrific. The range, although you have to hit off Matt's is just fine and they've got a chipping area where you can come out of sand and practice. It really is sensational. Perhaps the only drawback is the putting green which really needs some help. The practice putting green behind the driving range needs improvement, but I still gave it five stars

This place has become one of my top 3 places to play in Nashville. The course is well maintained, the service is top tier (almost club level), and the price is right where it should be. Also they have the nicest carts on a public course in Nashville. Can't say enough nice things about this course and I am excited to play this Sunday for my birthday.
