Booked through Chase Travel without prior expectations and was thoroughly impressed. I stayed here with my wife and three children, and the accommodations were ideal for a family. Our one-bedroom villa was well-equipped, featuring a full kitchen, dining area, living room, and a master suite with a full bath.
Despite the cold weather during our visit, the heated indoor/outdoor pool remained fully usable and was a highlight for the kids. The location is quiet and relaxing, with plenty of activities on the property. While this is a timeshare property, I simply declined the sales pitch politely, and it was not an issue. Overall, a great experience for the whole family.

We stumbled upon this resort and we are so happy we did. The resort was so beautiful and the room was beyond our expectations. It was spotless at every turn. The entire property was beautiful.
We were given an offer to become an owner. If given the opportunity to go through the information session, take it! Carlos was the kindest, most detailed representative. He was kind, professional, and an pleasure to meet. My husband and I loved talking to him. While we did not become members on this trip, we absolutely will in the near future.
Every single staff member we talked to was amazing.
We cannot wait for our next trip to this property and many other Hyatt properties. Carlos, Brian and the manager (who I can’t remember his name, but he was an Hispanic male and Carlos’ boss (so sorry)) were all delightful to meet and made becoming Hyatt Vacation Club members an immediate goal.

The resort is very beautiful and well setup for families and children. The lazy river was not open which is normal at Hill Country Hyatt as well. There were a few problems I encountered during the stay-
1. The ice maker in refrigerator was not working and no ice bucket to get it. I was required to have someone bring up a ice bucket.
2. The water pressure was great in everything but the shower. The shower was as bad as San Francisco Grand Hyatt which is restricted by law.
3. Hot water in kitchen sink never worked and shower had to waste more water than it save to get lukewarm.
4. Construction in building 6 made entry difficult and lots of hoses blocking rooms and lots of noise.
5. Pool card to get towels and if you loose it cost $20.
The many good things were-
1. Variety of activities to participate in.
2. The pool system was amazing with multiple slides.
3. The large outdoor hottub was great.
4. The wild life trail was fun and great way to get exercise.
5. Even better was to exercise was excercise room with all the latest equipment and great view of pool complex.
6. The front desk and concierge were very helpful and friendly and the timeshare sales were not overly aggressive.
7. The kitchen was full size and pre-stocked with utensils. My only issue was only frying pan was not none stick and hard to clean.
Overall was a great stay with some areas needing improvement.

J.D.L. Light (LOve Rain20) I was excited to love this place given the beautiful setting and comfortable villas, but my experience fell far short. Many amenities were under maintenance or not functioning properly, and the front desk was unhelpful and unresponsive. Basic issues like water heater reliability were ongoing, making it difficult to enjoy a comfortable stay. As someone paying annual fees, I expected better service and amenities.

The resort is nice, clean, well kept. It was too cold to use the pool or lazy river. This is clearly the low season, as they’re just wasn’t a lot of guests. I read reviews and the only restaurant on site didn’t receive good reviews so we didn’t use it. It was a relaxing stay for us. Did notice a lot of road noise if the patio door was open in the evening. We were in a 1 bedroom in the Cedar Elm building. The washing machine is ridiculously loud.
The low star rating is for the sales office, and tactics. Hunter was very friendly. However he indicated Hyatt was different than other time share sales. He claims they aren’t high pressure and you don’t get passed from one person to another. We had to speak with 3 people, and it is definitely high pressure. We did not purchase, and indicated rather early that we wouldn’t be. But still spent over 2 1/2 hours there. When we first checked in, they require your physical DL for ID. My husband lost his at the airport, but has a digital ID, which TSA Pre Check accepts. But not Hyatt sales. The only explanation is “it’s policy”. No common sense actual reason why a physical ID is needed. Also, that is not indicated on any of our correspondence. An ID is required, yes, but it doesn’t say a physical card is required, or that a digital ID isn’t acceptable. We did not receive the promised incentive for attending the sales meeting. But not attending the meeting does mean we would have been charged for the retail price of our stay.
