As a lover of golf finding a course in pretty much the middle of nowhere got me excited. So as a family (all adult) 5 of us pull up and pay for carts, 9 holes, and drinks. After a few holes we noticed we were pressing the group in front of us, but we don’t care about that. We are there for a good time, not to stress about things.
A little later in the round we were approached by an individual who started emphasizing that 5 golfers is pushing the limit, if we don’t hurry there will be a problem. (Something we were given approval on before starting the round)
We still golfed even after being slowed by the group in front of us in approximately 2 hours.
So we decided to say something to management. This is where we found out that no one who was paying to golf were the ones complaining, it was simply the individual who worked at the course who took issue with it.
Now if this was a top tier course, with beautiful course play, top of the line greens, cart paths, etc. I can understand keeping things above board, encouraging speedy game play IF the course is full. However this is not the case. There are no cart paths that weren’t a mix of bumpy dirt and asphalt mixture, 2 holes had temporary greens slapped in the middle of a fairway, 1 hole was completely closed, and there was no discounted price for it being under construction.
So all in all…not impressed, not worth it, and won’t be returning. Hope they take the criticism and improve, especially since this area gets a lot of tourism and they could easily provide a better experience.
I will conclude that the gal who got us up and running was very nice, accommodating, and treated us well. It was the attitude and expectation of the random board member that not only upset our golf game but the groups before and after us as well.

I’ve been coming to this course once a summer for the past 6 or 7 years now, and in that time they have made solid improvements to course layout and facilities. I would say it was 3 stars before, and now it’s a solid 4 star. There is still room for improvements (cart path in some areas, a few bridges need work), but they are making changes to improve all the time. Can’t wait to see what is new next summer!!

Over priced for 1/3 of the coarse completely un unplayable.. Glad to see they are trying to improve the course and has some potential but has long ways to go. Plenty of pace of play drama to go around for everyone. If you are into that this is the coarse for you. If this was rating on course vibes it would be zero.

Very disappointed. The staff and greens were just ok.The cart paths and over all course conditions were very poor! This was represented as a 18 hole course on the internet, but is only a 9 hole. The 4.8 star rating is very miss leading.

My in-laws live in Chamberlain. For over 20 years, the golf club has been on my list when we visit. A great little club with fantastic facilities and well kept greens. Simple but tasty bar food at the 19th hole.
