Olde Hickory Golf Course Tee Times

Moving out due to years of neglectful maintenance and unhealthy living conditions. I will admit that Jaimee Lee and Susan really worked hard to make sure everyone at OH was cared for, but since they have left, it has been going downhill. My window literally fell into the apartment during a storm in October. I annually request for replacement, as the insulation is so bad that my curtains move when the wind blows outside (with the windows closed). The front end of the apartment and the downstairs bathroom are always breezy and frigid. I stuff a towel under the door to avoid drafts. All of this leads to massive heating bills and chilly winters. Maintenance is either unwilling or unable to fix things properly. Super nice guys though, truly. I reported a bird nest in the siding in early spring. They didn’t follow up on it in the fall, so it turned into a squirrel infestation in the attic. They also blamed me when the provided 34-year-old dryer broke, claiming that I must not know how to do laundry. Worst is that when our neighbor let the shared storage unit go moldy, the spores ended up in our AC unit. Now, it grows around the vents in the apartment. Olde hickory cleaned the AC units with germicide one time, claimed that was a good enough job, and has since painted over any recurring problem areas. Plenty of parking though! The new units are nice. The old ones should really not be lived in anymore and I think the bureau of property maintenance and housing inspections should be made aware of the constant “fix-a-flat” that is Village of Olde Hickory.

We have lived at Village of Olde Hickory for a few years now & really love it! The community is really great for families. We enjoy using the pool during the summer months & the kids enjoy riding their bikes around & playing at the playground. The grounds are constantly being maintained & kept very nice. The staff & maintenance crew are very friendly & promptly respond to calls. If we ever have an issue within our unit, it is addressed very quickly. The leasing office staff are always planning events etc. for our community & especially for the children. They frequently take the time to ask for feedback on how they are doing & if we have any concerns. Overall, we are very happy living here!

The Village of Olde Hickory has an excellent management team from office to maintenance. Responses to repair requests or questions on the resident portal are always promptly addressed. All members with whom I have interacted are respectful and courteous. The grounds are well maintained and perhaps my favorite amenity as the view from my patio is simply beautiful. (Photos attached) I have an additional benefit a living just a mile away from grandchildren. The community supports numerous families with children and is located in MTSD, a preferred school district. For myself, I always enjoy interacting with neighbors and their children and often welcome new neighbors with baked goods. I would recommend The Village of Olde Hickory to all who want a safe and comfortable community as their home.

My son and I have been here since May of this year. We moved here from Long Island, NY. We miss NY, but we're absolutely in love with Lancaster and with The Village of Olde Hickory in particular. Love my friendly and welcoming neighbors, the management staff, the maintenance staff and the proximity to restaurants and everything else we need. Coming here was the best decision we made!!

We love The Village of Olde Hickory. The complex is beautiful, peaceful, and extremely well kept, maintenance is extremely efficient, and the office staff are always kind and helpful. We couldn’t recommend this complex more if it is within your budget.
