Birdsfoot Golf Club Tee Times

$85 for this course is way overpriced. Tee boxes are in terrible shape. Sand traps should honestly be called “gravel traps”—there are so many rocks that one swing could easily ruin a wedge. Greens are completely unfair. I’ve never played a course where the greens and pin placements felt this punishing. Even if you hit every green in regulation, you’re likely to three-putt on at least half the holes because the ball either rolls off the green or ends up 10+ feet from the hole. The pin locations are downright criminal. You can easily pay $50 at another course for similar—or even better—conditions. At $85, I expect close to country-club level quality, and Birdsfoot is nowhere near that. That said, the layout and scenery are excellent. Every hole is well-designed with scenic views throughout the course. Bottom line: I’d play here again for $50, but $85 is a hard pass.

One of my favorite public courses in the Pittsburgh area. Great layout and nice staff. Main complaint is the bunkers. A large percentage of them are in terrible shape. Course seems to be pretty successful so either fix the bunkers or get rid of some so you don’t have as many to care for.

Pretty nice layout, though the bunkers and some tee boxes need some help. Pace ofnplay was miserable, though. 4:30 on a Monday afternoon and it took 2 hours to get through 6 holes.

So much wrong with this place. First, charging $70 on a Tuesday morning is terrible considering their location to the city and course conditions. Many better options for less closer to the city and without the nearly hour drive. Tee boxes were too long, fairways were nothing but weeds and clover, and the bunkers were baseball infield dirt. Don’t bother hitting out of them unless you want to ruin your clubs on 2-3 inch rocks. But the worst part was how long it takes to play 18. No one teeing off at 10a should get home at dinner time. There are “rangers” on the course but as one of them put it to our group “I told them multiple times to pick up their pace, but there is nothing more I can do.” THAT IS YOUR JOB AS THE RANGER. It’s a shame what this place has become. It used to be one of the top courses in the area. Now it’s just a dog track suitable for the area it is located.

Played there for the big cup tournament. We play every year always the first weekend in November. It's such a good time. We play the course about 5-8 times a year. This tournament is a 2 day event. It's so fun our buddy flew in from SF and 8 of his friends drove up from North Carolina. Course is great. I think it's overplayed a bit but that's not a bad thing I guess? If you're free for a weekend or looking for a place to have an outing highly recommend Birdsfoot.
