The layout of holes at Madison is what makes this a good course. It gives you a sense of a “big course” but playable if played from the correct tees for your ability .
Though the blue tees on the score card are almost 400 yard longer than white, on this day the blue tees on many holes were less than 5 yards from the whites. Unfortunately, unless you played from the tips (black tees) all the tee boxes were very chewed up.
The greens rolled ok, but slow due likely to rain the night before.
Couple of suggestions. Replace the ball/club cleaners on the carts. The ones we had and I saw all had the bristles missing. Hire cart attendants that are more interested in helping golfers than looking at their phones. Having a halfway house is nice, but having a beverage cart go around on a humid weekend day would be nice as well.
Lastly golf clubs are in business to make money, but tee times 8 minutes apart on a weekend morning only gets you jammed up. We waited on 80% of our shots from hole 1 to hole 18.
Played again on 5/25/25 and the the tee boxes remained chewed up on all par 3’s and the two short par 4’s.
Other aspects of the course were in good shape with a major project on the pond in front of hole 17 on the works.

First time playing here today. The course was in great shape, even after some recent heavy storms in the days before today. Excellent tee boxes, pristine fairways, and beautiful (surprisingly fast) greens. It’s a challenging, but fun course. If you’re a long hitter like me, you’re going to have to think twice about pulling the big stick out on some holes or else you’ll hit through the fairway. I like when courses make you think about club selection off the tee. Overall, TMC is a great track and we’ll be back again. Great value for $42 on a weekday. Well worth the drive from the South Hills area.
