8/2025 Sawmill or how we dubbed it: "Sawdust" was a little dry. I didn't know there were still courses that weren't irrigated. Clearly there are!
Tees were destroyed and rock hard. You needed to predrill before teeing up. We forgot the cordless. No perceptible difference between the fairways and rough. -All were a dog patch of weeds and dust. Greens were long and very patchy. I know this isn't a country club but my Lord.
I have never seen more abandoned balls everywhere. It almost was like a range was nearby.
The staff was very nice and the hotdogs were excellent. The pace of play? Not so good at 5 hrs. There was a twosome in front of us that played like they were in the final round at Augusta. The ranger was seen but not affective.
The saving grace was Group golfer greens fees saved us big-time. I only would recommend this course if there has been plenty of rain..
I did get a nice picture though!

I like the creative use of PVC pipe to mark the white tees... it adds a rustic one of kind feel. Also, hearing "Four right" numerous times over a 5 1/2 hr. round and not getting hit is simply amazing. Seriously though, some holes have an exceptional landscape view, and everyone can appreciate that.

Nice friendly staff! The course was in great condition. It's short but very well laid out making it more challenging than you think. Our group had only one thing that we thought was in need of attention. The greens were on the slow side. They are in great shape though. We definitely will be back!! Really a 4.5 but that's not a choice on ratings.
