We can’t put into words how incredible our experience was having our wedding at Linden Hall. My husband and I had our wedding on the weekend of August 9th this year. His mom grew up in Connellsville and brought up the place to us as a potential option. Living in Wexford, we were at first a little hesitant to consider a place that was over an hour away! We booked a tour with Rachel and from the moment we got there, we knew there was no other place for us.
The great:
- The property is gorgeous
- The mansion is incredible
- The rehearsal and wedding day food was amazing
- ALL of the workers that we met at Linden Hall throughout our entire experience—which included an initial tour, a weekend stay one year before our wedding, the tasting, a meeting eight weeks out from the big day with Rachel, and of course, the wedding weekend—were all so kind and accommodating.
- Rachel is an absolute force of nature. She has an unwavering positive attitude and figures out everything for you to make your day special. It was such a relief to be arriving to Linden Hall for the wedding weekend knowing that Rachel was going to make the weekend go smoothly. She really works so hard to make your wedding day special and unique.
Some additional things our guests raved about:
- How comfortable the pool temperature was - How tasty the wedding buffet was - How elaborate the cookie table looked (set up with love by rachel herself)
- How reasonably priced and enjoyable the golf course was - Having everything in one spot for the weekend - The firework show by Buck
- Breakfast buffet hit the spot if you’re considering Linden Hall and are on the fence, I imagine you might be on the fence about similar things that we were.
The question marks:
- The hotel is not the Ritz Carlton. True, but having your guests stay ON the property for a reasonable price is not something you will easily find elsewhere
- It’s off the beaten path. True, but you will be surprised how awesome it is to have everything for your wedding weekend located in one spot. It really feels like a weekend away for everybody, even if they live in Pittsburgh. So cool to not have to transport everybody.
- There’s not a close 2nd hotel around. True, nothing 5 minutes away. There are a few decent options within 20 minutes—in Mt. Pleasant, Connellsville, Belle Vernon. We had 150 people at our wedding, 90+% of which stayed the night, and we had plenty of space at Linden Hall. Did an overflow room block at the Holiday Inn in Mt. Pleasant and they were easy to work with.
So many of our guests came away from our wedding saying that it was the best wedding they have been to, with many of our friends poking fun saying that we set the bar too high for the future! If you choose Linden Hall, you can choose it knowing that you are in the incredibly kind, thoughtful, and energetic hands of Rachel, who is the GOAT! She will treat you like family.
Now stop overthinking and book already!

Played on July 5, 2025.
The course at Linden Hall is a very nice layout. It has a varied design with 5 par 5’s and an overall par of 73. No two holes have the same feel or look. The greens were not fast, but still rolled smoothly. Fairways, tee boxes and sand traps were all in good shape.
Service in the sparse pro shop was friendly. At $52 on a holiday weekend it was a good value.
So why 4 stars vs 5?
Bugs, bugs, bugs!!!
It had been a few years since I played this course and I had forgotten how “buggy” it was or I would have brought some “Off” spray. On every hole our group had fleas, gnats or some kind of bug flying around our heads on the tee boxes, fairways and greens.
In the bunkers there were swarms of what looked like sweat bees buzzing all around.
These pests really distract from a fun round of golf.
Why this course can not address this problem I do not understand.
It has been a problem for years.

I can’t begin to say enough things about Lindenhall and their facilities. I’ve been coming here for years as the United States worker for training, conferences and seminars. The property here is just massive and absolutely gorgeous. They have a golf course on the facility if you’re looking to play a couple rounds. They have a fitness facility to burn off some of the calories after eating the food. The rooms are still decorated like they’re from 1970 but who really cares about that because the majority of your time is spent enjoying the property or in a conference or at the bar. The bar is a very popular spot to be at in the evening, the bartenders couldn’t be more friendly and attentive to your needs. Let’s talk about the food that they serve. You will gain 20 pounds if you spend a week out here because the food they serve is exceptional and the portions are hefty. I haven’t had a bad meal here all the way from breakfast to lunch to dinner.
