The Canyons at Blackjack Ridge Tee Times

Love the rolling hills and challenges of this course. I have only played maybe 10 different courses, but id say this ranks up there with the best of what I've played. Lot of fun, great tournament course.

Awesome golf course northwest of Tulsa. It’s well kept, the greens roll nice, the cost is great and the pace of play is around 4 hours on a busy Saturday

Recently moved to the area from Atlanta. Played a solo round here on a Monday morning and was blown away. Where I came from a course in this condition would have easily commanded a $100+ rate. Super nice clubhouse as well.

Today I had a tee time at 11. It was my first time at this course. After paying for my admission I went to choose a cart. The cart I chose said bad brakes but was told to just pick whichever cart out there they are all available. Again being my first time at the course I was not aware of all the hills so I didn’t think much of the brakes. After teeing off the 12th hole there was a hill that was very steep. We called the club house & told them before going down the hill the cart we had did not have brakes & if we could swap the cart out. The pro shop said they did not have any extra carts & said there was nothing they could do. We decided to drive down the hill & unfortunately after the 2nd turn we lost control of the cart & bailed out before going down a big hill with trees & rocks everywhere. We got scuffed up really really bad. After the incident we called the club house & they came out to us & immediately went to get a cart to replace it after they had said they didn’t have any available before we went down the hill. We are fortunate that we are walking away with all body parts in tact. The carts that have no brakes should not be available as this is very dangerous & one of us could’ve lost our lives or lost a leg/arm. Please be very careful when going to this course. The way this situation was handled by the teenagers that work there was not professional & no manager was there to talk to me in person. The teenagers at the golf course had to call the manager (Brent) on their cellphone so that I could talk to him. The golf course is great & has amazing views. The only reason I give it a one star is because the way this whole incident was handled. Picture shows where the cart ended up after going down a very steep hill that had trees & rocks everywhere. After the hill the cart continued another 60 yards into this ditch coming to a complete stop.

As a new golfer without much money to spend on golf, I’m used to playing on pretty average public courses. This was a major step up in quality for about the same price that I usually pay at other courses. I found a deal on GolfNow for 18 holes with a cart for about $30 dollars. Probably my favorite course I’ve played at so far, and if I ever end up in Tulsa again, I’m for sure coming back.
