Hawthorne Valley Country Club Tee Times

Great course in excellent condition! Challenging layout. Great staff! Really good price especially for this premier course. Watch for leagues playing Mon - Thurs evening. Highly recommend you challenge yourself and play soon.

Fairways were great. Last time here was soggy. Good cart paths all around. Some of the old bridges need work. Greens were bumpy.. they said they were just aerated but they probably didn't roll them. Uphill putts were very slow. Good place to go though. Glad I didn't caddy here.

Golfed yesterday, October 10, at Hawthorne Valley Country Club and found it to be one of the worst conditioned golf courses that I have ever played. There appeared to be absolutely no regular maintenance on or around the corse. The greens had many areas that were unplayable because of the bare spots. The rough was extremely long and very to difficult to find a ball. The areas around the greens were almost unplayable because of the grass length. The traps had not been raked recently and the hole cups appeared to have not been recut for awhile. The driving range is nonexistent because they have let the grass grow. The whole experience was terrible and very disappointing. I was looking forward playing Hawthorne Valley again since I played it some years back. It actually looked liked the course is going under based on the lack of maintenance. Save your money and go to a driving range or play a different course.

The course is in deplorable condition. The tee boxes are almost barren, the sand traps if that's what you want to call them were rock hard. There was vegetation around some of the greens on the fringe. There were weeds three feet high growing out of the creek. I have never seen a course go down hill as quickly as this one has. It is obvious that the owner isn't spending a dime on upkeep or improvements. Wonder what the lots will cost next year when it becomes a housing development. Save you money and go a few miles down the road and play Gleneagles.

Great Donald Ross layout. a couple of these reviews are way off. I have always been treated great at Hawthorne. The rangers and staff are always courteous. Took my wife on the course for her first time ever, she does not play, had a great lunch. I joined a league there and we are certainly treated extremely well.
