Dorlon Golf Club Tee Times

What a great new reservation in Columbia Station! It’s still maturing and will probably be even better in a few years, but a wonderful place for birding & wildlife watching. On my last visit (an early morning in July), I encountered 40+ bird species and at least a dozen Eastern Cottontail rabbits…super cute! Other reviewers have mentioned ticks, but I’ve visited several times and haven’t encountered any (I wear plenty of bug spray and stick to the center of the trail as much as possible though). There’s also something extremely satisfying & maybe just a little eerie about seeing an old golf course being reclaimed by nature…I recommend checking it out!

Opened in Summer 2024 a new park. Half the trail is a paved road the remainder is crushed limestone. Will improve as nature takes it's course.

We took our dogs for a walk there on Saturday and they had a number of ticks on them before we even returned to the parking lot. Don't think I'd walk there again even without the dogs.

The amount of ticks here was absolutely insane. Between both of my dogs I pulled 30+ ticks off of them, and also had ticks on myself after only walking about 25 minutes.

Pretty short trail. They should add more trails, especially thru the “back nine” beyond the old clubhouse, as well as the north side of the service road. I flushed a large 8pt buck and a couple fawns.
