Cooks Creek is THEE destination for public golf in the Columbus area. My regular golf crew and I decided we would take a Monday / Tuesday off and golf as much as we could those two days. We started Monday morning at another local course 20 minutes northwest of Cooks Creek. After we completed that first round, we decided to play somewhere new to all of us. We arrived to find a beautiful club house tucked back into the property. We were greeted by an extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful staff. The manager was thrilled it was our first time visiting. We paid our dues, which were extremely fair, and headed out. When we arrived at the tee box and saw the entirety of hole #1, we instantly knew this course was going to be something special. Hole after hole we were SO impressed with everything about the course. The wildlife, nature, trees, creeks, rivers, ponds, terrain, the list goes on. It's like playing in a nature preserve. The fairways and greens of this course are the best I have experienced in the central Ohio area, maintained beautifully. The fairways are wide and forgiving but still offer a good challenge with terrain and hazards. The greens are large and not threatening for the most part. Every hole offers a challenge, but is still playable by any skill level. We could not get enough of this course! So much that we agreed to meet back there in the morning to play it again. Unfortunately when we arrived (without calling) we were told we wouldn't be able to get on until 1pm due to a league match taking place. Our mistake... We headed back to the first course, paid for 18 holes, played 9, decided at the turn (right around 1pm) to leave and go play another 18 at Cooks Creek.. It was worth it because as regular joe weekend warrior golfers, we played some of the best golf of our lives, and had an absolute blast while doing it. Afterwards we had the pleasure of meeting the owner Joe Cook at the cart return. He was an extremely nice gentleman who was so interested in talking with players about the course. He filled us in on all kinds of history about the course which was very cool, and he was so sincere in thanking us for coming out and loved that our group chose his course. 63 holes in 30 hours and its safe to say Cooks Creek is my new favorite course.

Actually been avoiding playing the golf course because of some of the reviews I have read. But was really surprised and happy with the progress cooks Creek has made. The sand traps aren’t very good and was told that before we started . I felt the greens were very good and the fairways are thousand percent better than last year. There still some spots in the fairways but plenty of grass to play from and not really that bad.I think they need to be commended on the progress they made because I know they’re a small business not owned by a corporation and seem to be going in the right direction. Will definitely be playing there more.

LOVE the people at Cooks Creek. Left my wallet in a golf cart and one of the staff found it and called me immediately to let me know she had it. Went back to pick it up and play again. Everybody working there is soooo nice and friendly...and I was so happy to get my wallet back...that I had to write this review. I believe good people make a good golf course great. That is certainly the case at Cooks Creek. The layout of the course is really challenging but fair. The value for the money is great - golf can get expensive around Columbus ! But mostly the thing I LOVE about this location is the staff - friendly and helpful and Cathy makes an amazing chicken salad sandwich ! Will definitely play here many times in the future. I heard they are replacing the grass so it can only get better ! Awesome place to play.

The poor condition of the course is truly sad. Great layout but the condition of the course in late 2019 and again today is unacceptable. Clearly no improvements have happened this year. Fairway grass is very sparse. Greens have lots of bare spots that have no grass at all. Charging people to play the course is pretty brazen. Too bad, because I have enjoyed playing this course since it first opened, but wont go back.

Havent golfed here in a year. Last time course was in great condition. Golf there today and was very disappointed. The entire course, tee boxes, fairways and greens are in terrible shape. Many bare spots, ground is dry and cracked. Greens are burnt and grass gone. Fairways much the same. Hope they can get the course back in shape, going to take a lot if work. Needs to be closed and worked on.
