Really enjoyed playing even on a cool damp morning. The fairways and greens were in great shape. Greens were challenging. Some sand bunkers still had standing water due to recent weather. Walking this course would be difficult given the space between certain holes. Regardless, my buddy and I were impressed.

One day I’ll birdie hole 4.
This is my home course. I play it quite often. I think people underestimate this course often citing the length but I’m here to say, don’t let the length fool you. This course is sneaky difficult at times. It certainly has some shorter par 4’s and some wide, forgiving fairways but it makes up for the difficulty in other ways.
Firstly, some of the green contours are pretty
crazy. You luck out by them being a bit slow a lot of the time but even then they’re not easy. And if you catch some of them on a fast day then good luck. Plus they’re not friendly with pin placements either lol.
Another thing (and I’m not sure if this is purposeful) but they seemingly like to keep the rough pretty dang long in a lot of places. It’s very easy to find your ball nestled in some thick rough and getting out of it is very tough. It’s not like that everywhere on the course but certainly in some areas.
Beyond those things there are some holes that really require proper strategy and course management. Quite a few tree-lined fairways. A couple elevated greens. Some shots over and around water. This course kinda gives you a bit of everything.
It’s usually in pretty great shape. There’s really only 2 real negatives. One is some of the tee boxes aren’t the flattest and maybe not super well kept but at the end of the day it’s a public course and they get a good amount of traffic. The other thing is/are the bunkers as some others have mentioned. But honestly my opinion is the money and time is better spent elsewhere. Bunkers should always be the last priority.
Pro shop is nice, clubhouse is nice, putting green is nice, carts are nice, people are nice, everything’s clean. No driving range sucks but it is what it is. Sometimes on lighter days they’ll pair you up with others despite maybe not needing to which I don’t love but I guess I somewhat understand.
Overall it’s a nice, well maintained course. And tougher than it may seem. Definitely recommend if you haven’t played it.

Sand traps aren't in good shape. Fairways have a lot of dead area's. The G. M. acts as if it was a country club. And he has never given our charity group a donation when asked for the last 5 years.
