What a beautiful golf course! I played this course on September 30th along my annual golf trip road trip from Washington State to my hometown of East Liverpool, Ohio.
Great layout with a variety of terrain - a somewhat tight and challenging front nine with some fun elevated tee boxes - to a more level back nine lined with beautiful trees and embraced by tranquil farmland. Well-kept fairways, and the greens were as immaculate as any of the best of 274 courses I've played!
I loved the old historic clubhouse - what a treasure - very cozy and unique! Great staff - Skip, Gavin and Hallie were very friendly and accommodating.
This is a fun course I could eventually play often as we may move back to the Morgan County area.

This is by far and away the worst course I’ve played..they didn’t cut “fairways” in at least 3 weeks to a month. “Fairways”were anywhere from 2”-5” high. Crab grass all over the tee boxes and “fairways”,and some were 8”-12” tall. Couldn’t find your ball if you hit it 75 yards away and watch where it dropped. Greens which used to be VERY good were slower than molasses. They will say they couldn’t mow because it rained a lot (which it did)but that is a lie. Either the mowers were broken or they are flat out lazy. I showed pics to a couple of greens keepers and they said no way that grass was mowed even 2 weeks ago at least. Oh by the way it was beautiful for at least a month or more down there. Club house workers are very nice. They should NEVER charge full price for those conditions!! I give it one star because zero was not available.

I didn't really like this course the first time I played it, but after playing a few more times, I have come to appreciate it. The back nine can feel like you're just walking through a converted cornfield at times. The holes are actually pretty fun though and they keep the conditions nice on the greens, fairways and tee boxes. Front nine is much more fun with more elevation changes and a few raised greens and elevated tee shots.
