There is just something about this course. It has a soul. Maybe it’s because it was built during the depression and they opted to build it by hand instead of using machinery. Maybe because everyone respects it, repairs their ball marks and keeps it clean. Or maybe because it is relatively inexpensive so the people who play here are generally down to earth. Who knows, but it definitely is a special place.
Obviously, the course is a work of art. Each hole is unique and offers a fair opportunity for a par if you hit average shots, but they also offer a big hitter the chance to take a risk and go for more. It has some truly great holes: 4, 5, 8, 12 & 14 come to mind. The greens are subtle and challenging, but always steady and true. The overall course condition is consistently excellent for a muni.
I suggest getting a 6pack to go from the bar and using a pull cart so you can take your time and really soak in muni and all it’s glory.
Best course around. No contest.

Not much to complain about here. Nicest carts I’ve ridden in, friendly staff, course is in great shape. Nice to see the city taking care of - and putting money back into - the property.

HILLY... But I really enjoyed it and wonder why I didn't go sooner as I've lived in the area for decades. I will be back.
