From a photography standpoint, the light here is beautiful reflecting off the lake. Soft, natural, and filtered just enough by the surrounding trees to give every image a sense of depth and calm. The Whiteface Club in Lake Placid has truly become one of the standout vacation destinations in the Adirondacks. From the moment you arrive, it’s clear how much pride the staff take in making sure every guest has a world-class experience. The golf course is a gem—Perry, the golf pro, along with the entire maintenance crew, run it with such care and attention. Whether you’re a member of 20 years or playing for the very first time, you feel welcomed and looked after. It’s a fun and challenging mountain course that always delivers a memorable round. The wedding venue is nothing short of unrivaled. There’s simply no other place where you can exchange vows on the water with Whiteface Mountain as your backdrop, then step straight into a classic wooden boat with your new spouse, champagne in hand, as your guests cheer you on from the dock. Returning right into cocktail hour is the kind of Adirondack magic that only Whiteface Club can offer. Thanks to Andrew and his team, the dining experience has been elevated to new heights. Both Café on the Green and Moose Lodge deliver exceptional food, outstanding drinks, and service that matches the breathtaking views. The combination of quality and atmosphere makes every meal feel special. Ultimately, it’s the people who make this already spectacular property extraordinary. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality are what will keep my wife and me coming back for many years to come.

My husband and I had a superb dinner at Cafe on the Green at the WFC Friday night. We dined in the bar area: a cozy room decorated in the spirit of the Adirondacks overlooking the snowy grounds--including an ice skating rink created by the staff!! The bar was crowded (but not overly packed), with patrons clearly having a wonderful time. Our meal was outstanding. Perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and utterly delicious. We only recently discovered that many of the facilities are open to the public, not just property owners. We look forward to returning this weekend for some nighttime snow shoeing or cross-country skiing, all lit with torches. We can't wait!! And we'll definitely be back for dinner.
