Haven't played golf in a number of years and Gamblers Ridge provided the perfect venue to get back into the game. Challenging but fair and offers various tee boxes for every skill level of the golfer!? Also reasonable green fees.

Played here on Saturday. Was looking forward to it as I haven't played this course since late last year. I had heard about how the new owners are making improvements. Tee time was a little after 11. Was notified early that morning that there was a frost delay of about 30 minutes. It happens. I appreciated the early heads up too. That was nice. We teed off right around 30 minutes after my original time. Right away, I noticed the improved course conditions. The fairways and rough were in great shape, as were the greens. What I didn't like was that as we reached the #2 tee box, there were still 2 groups waiting to tee off. The course was so backed up. Every hole was like this (about 20+ minutes for 3 golfers per hole). We ended up leaving after 9 holes because the guy who drove couldn't spend 6 hours on the course. If I decide to come back I hope this doesn't happen again. I don't know if this was a few slow groups holding everyone up, or if they are just overbooking. Hopefully they get this straightened out because nice course or not, nobody likes waiting 10 minutes on every tee box.

It's a little over an hour from where I live in Palisades Park, but the golf course is great.
Even in winter, the greens, fairways and bunkers are well-maintained, and the staff are all friendly. The green fees are reasonable as well.
I highly recommend it.
