The staff at South Shore were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They were absolutely amazing. The course itself was in excellent condition, they did an amazing job fixing the greens that were vandalized. The course was very well managed for a busy weekend. Overall an excellent experience will definitely be back!

My boyfriend came home very dissapointed today—frustrated, disrespected, and honestly questioning why he ever gave South Shore Golf Course his time or money in the first place. South Shore should be embarrassed by how they treat their most loyal customers. He’s been coming here for months—sometimes twice a day, multiple days in a row—spending serious money to play 36 holes a day every weekend. And today? He was told to “speed it up” after finishing a par 5. As a single golfer. By a manager patrolling the course like a wannabe cop instead of addressing the real issue: their own overbooking and lack of organization. By the time he reached the back 9, the line for the front tee was backed up to the clubhouse—around 15 groups deep! When he asked the threesome ahead (who were walking, by the way) if anyone had told them to pick up the pace, they said no. So why was he the only one getting called out? Let’s be clear: the backup wasn’t coming from him. The group behind hadn’t even reached the previous hole. But instead of looking at the actual traffic jam they created with stacked tee times, management chose to single out one paying customer—again, a solo player—who’s been giving this place regular business for months. He ended up walking off at 13. His friend tried to meet him for the back 9, but that was also shut down—because apparently flexing power is more important than fixing problems. On the way out he heard someone say “another 9hour day at South Shore.” If you’re thinking about playing here, think twice. This course has no problem taking your money, then treating you like an inconvenience. It’s mismanaged, overcrowded, and clearly doesn’t value the players who keep it in business.

Nice course. Was there for an outing, course was on good shape with the exception of the tee boxes. Most were bare with little to no grass. The banquet are was very nice, bright and clean and the food was very good.
