1st time playing there was a learning experience. Overall the course was in pretty good shape. The greens were hard and pretty quick and I don't spin my iron shots so holding the greens was a challenge. Once I adjusted to a British Open style of bump and run on chip shots, I did much better. Again, it was the 1st time our group played there but we already added it to next year's rotation. So yes, I'd play there again.

Another great day at this hidden gem. I travel from Buffalo to play at Livingston a handful of times per summer. It is an hour and 15 minutes each way, but it is worth it to me. The course is always in great shape, with a few exceptions that the course cannot control. I do not understand why players can't do simple things. Player caused issues explain a lot of condition issues. Not just at Livingston, but most courses. If you take a divot on a par 3 that looks like a John Deere dug it out, there are containers with sod mix right there on the tee box to replace the damage you have done. This helps keep the tee boxes in great shape, yet yesterday, a massive amount of fresh divots that no one replaced with mix. Not a course issue, that's a player issue. The same thing with pitch marks on the greens and people dragging their feet on the greens. Player damage, not course negligence. Also, sunflower seeds kill grass, if you spit them on the greens, you are the ones killing the grass, not the course. These issues are everywhere, not just at Livingston, and they were noticeable on Sunday. For where Livingston is located, it is a top of the line golf experience that I always enjoy.

Too crowded when played, very slow. Some interesting holes but some scarey ones as well, drive to #5 tee w people on tee is risky, #6 tee has a green just off to the right, approach on #16 had people on #17 tee hit just behind us.
