Staff is Rude.
The office staff is rude and condescending. The Rangers/Ambassadors are aggressive and confrontational.
I have played this course a few times. The grounds are well kept. The course is nice. The layout is fun.
However, I have noticed that every time I play here, I question my interactions with the staff. They seem like it’s some good-old-boys club where the office staff speaks down to you. The group paying in front of me at the club house was met with sarcasm for some basic questions. I was treated the same way when asking about carts. I have worked at a golf course and I know the difference between joking around with the regulars and what I’ve seen here.
It's a nice course, but it’s also a county course. These guys are acting like they are guarding the gates to Bethpage or St. Andrews. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate a course that doesn’t allow people to destroy the place or abuse the grounds, but these guys just take their jobs too seriously or too personally.
At one point a Ranger drove over the Tee Box (Womens), completely down the fairway (90 Degree Rule?), and skidded to a halt to yell at someone.
Again, could be a really great place – The grounds are nice – But the Pro Shop and Rangers Staff have gone a bit out of control with their moderate amount of power. I have played every other course in Monmouth County and this is the only one that has staff that behave in this way.

Great county course for the price, Matinee is literally $20 for 9 holes! Can’t beat the value for a chance to work on your short game with this small course or to teach others to play without the game becoming intimidating! It’s Never too busy, always a great game improver, give it a try!

Great little executive course, great for beginners if a little tight with trees lining the fairways. The greens were well maintained and the tee boxes are good enough. Intuitive layout and varying distances on the par 3s.
