Two tier review. Course and experience. The Lexington course
is a very good scenic and pretty course. Playable but challenging form from golf tees. Had just come from over seeding so lush but lots of bunkers not playable which was odd filed with rocks. Third time playing and a reasonable 174 price which leads to
Got to second hole three groups on tee. One in fairway. One on green. After 4:45 and 15 holes we had to quit. Turns out we think a group of 16 was in front and they fitted them in. Threesome in front of us quit after 9. It sort of felt like a good upscale muni as opposed to a top level resort course. The 174 price point is cheap so it was mobbed. To their credit they extended a pro shop credit after. But disappointed was so show. Would play again not on a weekend

I finally had the chance to play the Lexington course today, and it exceeded every expectation. I went out with a good friend, and from the first tee to the final putt, it was an unforgettable round. Having lived in Sun City Anthem for just over a year, I’ve had my eye on this course for a while, and I can confidently say it was worth the wait.
The course itself is in pristine condition—lush fairways, well-kept greens, and a layout that’s both challenging and rewarding. But what really sets it apart is the scenery. Coming from Florida, I’ve spent years playing on flat terrain, so stepping onto a course carved into the hills and framed by mountain views was nothing short of phenomenal. Every hole felt like a postcard.
This wasn’t just a round of golf. It was a reminder of why I moved out here and how much the landscape can elevate the game. I’ll be back on Lexington often, and I’m already looking forward to the next round.
