This was our first time to play the course and we had heard good things about it. First our GPS didn’t take us to the Clubhouse. So it was trickier to get there. We played on Saturday as a 3-some and they had a single play with us which was good. The starter is good at pairing up golfers and getting players out close to their tee time. It was BUSY so pace of play was slow. Especially the front nine. The front nine is a valley course with parallel fairways. On the front the course was in rough shape - fairways are as rough as the rough. The greens were good on the front nine mostly flat with some terrain. The back nine is a totally different course. Here are elevation changes, long par-3’s and plenty of challenges. A fun back nine. It was a 5 hour round of golf on this busy Saturday. We waited a lot on the front nine. Distance markers would be very helpful. Luckily it was nice weather.

Helene washed out the front nine so for now, you play the back nine twice. For what it’s worth, the back nine has always been more interesting/fun than the front, with the Donald Ross design really shining here. Green condition is quite good. Prices are a bit high for a municipal course, and membership rates are in my opinion exorbitant.
Fun fact: A temporary frisbee golf course has been established on the front nine while repairs continue.

Course is improving, Staff are kind and respectful. The front is open with strategically placed traps. The back 9 is a different course both technical and challenging. Good place to golf!
