Lovely course! I’ve played it for almost a decade and the green speeds have become phenomenally fast over the years. I love em. They forced me into improving my iron game by learning to hit high angle mid irons and the importance of stopping a ball rather than going for backspin. You have to respect fast greens or they will eat you. I’m certainly no fantastic golfer but I have learned more at this course over a few years verses the 40 prior. To help first timers at Beaverhead, in the beginning of the season the greens do not typically break much but are still exciting for a more leisurely round but by July and August as the weather speeds them to their fastest just the slightest of slopes keeps you guessing and remembering golf is all about putting in the end. These greens are what give the most character to what deceivingly looks to be an easy course. If you want easy then play early in the year and early in the day in summer. If you are looking for more of a challenge play late morning into afternoon to keep you on your toes as the greens cycle with the sun. Have fun and always remember to give your 2 and 3 irons to your worst enemies :).

Attended a catered gathering in the clubhouse. A little small for our needs, but the number of attendees was unexpected. Nice place, good size bar, lots of outside room.
