Had a great time today experiencing our first round at St Ives. Beautiful course overall, and a unique challenge as well. Lots of elevation change, slopes, and severe doglegs to limit your shot options.
There is a lot of wildlife around which makes you feel secluded. The free pre round range balls are a nice touch.
It was an extremely humid day, but there are a lot of "spongy" areas out there, making it very easy to hit it fat. Some of the holes are also quite the minefield of goose droppings - one of the small negatives of all that wildlife around.
Overall a very cool course, fun and difficult. I would say it is a little overpriced. $150 for 18 isn't horrible, but I've played courses close to as nice for 90-100.

Just returned 5/19 and 5/20. Everyone was awesome happy and helpful. Greens are so perfect right now. Couldn't have been happier with our visit.

Wow! Not as well maintained as Tullymore, which is a shame because this course is so much fun! If the two this is the course I would return to. I think you are hitting up to raised greens in 14 of the 18 holes. The landscape here is almost shocking. Such a great time on the course.
