Michigan Meadows Golf Course, Casco, Michigan: 👍👍👍👍
Nestled in the quiet countryside of Casco, Michigan, Michigan Meadows Golf Course is a modest but enjoyable 18-hole public course that’s been serving the community for decades. Originally opened in the mid-20th century, it has built a loyal following of local golfers who appreciate its straightforward layout, affordable rates, and welcoming atmosphere.
COURSE QUALITY
While the greens are playable, the tee boxes and fairways are in noticeable need of care. Uneven surfaces, thin grass coverage, and patchy areas detract from the overall playing experience. With more consistent maintenance, the course could greatly improve in appeal.
SERVICE & HOSPITALITY👍
The staff are personable and attentive, greeting guests warmly and making newcomers feel like regulars. The casual, friendly service is part of the course’s charm.
AMENITIES👍
The amenities are simple but adequate — a small practice area, putting green, and a basic snack bar to grab a quick bite or drink before or after your round. Don’t expect a full-service pro shop or restaurant.
PACE OF PLAY👍
Generally, the pace is comfortable, making it a good choice for golfers who prefer an unhurried round. Weekday afternoons are particularly quiet, perfect for working on your game without pressure.
LOCATION & ACCESSIBILITY👍
Located a short drive from I-94, the course is easy to reach and offers plenty of parking. The rural setting adds to its laid-back, small-town charm.
Michigan Meadows Golf Course is a decent choice for a relaxed and affordable round, especially for locals. However, improvements to the tee boxes and fairways would make it much more appealing to a broader range of golfers.

Michigan Meadows Golf Course, a true local spot in Casco, has a welcoming atmosphere with a friendly and flexible clubhouse staff. It's clear why members speak highly of the team and their dedication. However, the course itself, while brimming with potential, is in need of significant improvements to match the high standards of the staff. Currently, the playing conditions are quite rough, with overgrown bunkers now marked as hazards, shaggy greens that could use a good trim, and cart paths in disrepair. Beyond playability, the course is also plagued by an abundance of biting insects, making a round uncomfortable without serious protection.
To truly shine, Michigan Meadows needs focused investment. Immediate improvements could include widening fairways with a second cut and trimming intrusive branches around tee boxes to create clear, inviting shots. For navigation, installing inexpensive, laser-engraved cedar signage for tee boxes and cart paths would greatly enhance the player experience. Furthermore, the chaotic turf management yard, currently right next to the clubhouse, desperately needs an 8-foot privacy fence to separate the constant activity and equipment from the serene golf environment. These suggestions, while requiring a commitment from ownership, are vital steps to unlock Michigan Meadows' full potential and transform it into the top-tier local course it could truly be

Decent course. 45$ for a round with a cart. Greens play pretty slow. Fairways and rough need some work. Great course for a beginner to practice.
