Poor condition and not worth the fees.
We golfed this based on website descriptions of a premium resort course. Very disappointing with burnt out fairways or snow mold, not sure.
Skeleton staff, poor tee boxes at beginning of season?, driving range not open, empty ball washers, etc.
you can find much better golf in the area for half the price. I told this to the young kid running the pro shop. He couldn’t care less and told me that we got a deal because fees go to $165 soon. No way you should pay that. Much better choices in the area such as Gaylord, Grand Traverse, Grandview, etc.
I sent an email twice to the Director of Golf and never got a response.

My wife and I booked a round at this beautiful course. The course was very well maintained. The greens were huge with a lot of undulation. Bunkers were in great shape. Service was exceptional. We played the front nine in under 2 hours. However, when we got to the turn there were 4 groups on number 10. Because of the time of day (6 pm), we decided to play the front nine again so we could at least get the full 18 in. Price was very reasonable…$124 USD for 2 golfers and a shared cart.

The course itself is absolutely gorgeous and as someone else said, challenging but playable. Any reviews that said the course was run down are not true anymore. It is very well-maintained! The lady who got us our tee time on Thursday over the phone (she was at cedar river) was extremely friendly and thorough. She was able to squeeze us in with a group of 3 for Saturday. Mind you, being only $30 this weekend, it was bound to be packed. We got to our tee time, what we thought was 20 minutes early. Just to be told that the group of 3 had added another person and that we would be alone and would have to tee off immediately (mind you I was the rider and my boyfriend was golfing). The girl at the pro shop who checked us in was also extremely friendly and understanding. Long story short, we were blamed by some guy that seemed to have walked out to the carts just to hassle us about the mishap on their end, think his name was Troy or something. He proceeded to blame us and tell us that we were late and “missed“ our tee time since the group added another person that NO ONE informed us about prior to actually showing up….. he was completely rude about it and frankly pretty snobbish.
We wanted to experience a nicer golf course than what we’re used to and although it was pretty organized, seems like there’s a lot of internal disorganization.
