I played at Diamond Ridge Golf Course on Veterans Day, expecting a relaxing round with my buddy, who is also a veteran. Unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing. We had a 1-hour frost delay, which we patiently waited through as the first tee time. We were then paired with another single player, but things quickly went downhill.
On the second hole, while we were hitting our second approach shots, a threesome behind us drove right past us and onto the #3 tee box. I called the clubhouse and spoke to Larry, who told me that he knew the group and they played there often. He assured me that we wouldn't see them again after they teed off, but I questioned how it was fair for them to jump ahead of us after we'd waited for the frost delay. Larry responded by saying the course was short-staffed, and we likely wouldn't see the group because they play quickly.
What made the situation absolutely unacceptable was that we had to wait for the group to exit the fairway from holes #3-#6, and to make matters worse, they almost hit us from the tee box on #4 while my buddy was hitting a poor tee shot just 10 yards into the fairway. This lack of consideration and poor management of the course made the round extremely frustrating.
Given this experience, my buddy and I have decided that we will not be returning to Diamond Ridge Golf Course. If the course is willing to allow a group to pass us on the 2nd hole simply because they play there often, then as Disabled Veterans, we refuse to give them our business. It’s a shame, as we were hopeful for a great experience, but the lack of respect and customer service was simply too much to overlook.

The course is fairly nice but the staffs are not doing enough to speed up laggy golfers even after complaints. I had to skip 2 holes to finish my round. I hope they send a ranger to find laggy golfers to keep on speed. It was about 15 minutes wait each holes with 3 teams waiting every holes today. It becomes very unenjoyable when golfers have to wait that long.

Love this course. Play at least once a week. A little tuff but fun. I'm a 18 handicap and love the challenge
