This course was gorgeous. We decided to walk 9 which was probably not the best idea but we definitely got a workout and our steps in. Course was in great condition, I recommend just getting the cart ;)

Review for visit on July 8th, 2023:
Had to edit this review because after a lovely day on Friday I decided to go again the next day on the Saturday. When I went buddy and I walked into the club house pro shop we entered saying “Hello again! We are here back after a great time yesterday” immediately we got berated by the pro-shop person saying we broke so many rules yesterday, playing more than 9, playing with a person not having a bag, and that our payment didn’t go through and all this stuff. He went so far to say that after our round we came in and started talking to him being all clueless about what was going on. After our round the day before, we didn’t even end up going back into the club house to talk. With my buddy and I being confused and a bit of discourse he ended up apologizing as he then realized we weren’t the people he was talking about. Anyways, shot better than yesterday, so I’ll take what I can get.

Not an easy course. Kind of hilly with lots of blind shots. The pricing was fair and comparable to the courses around. Some of the greens were not forgiving. If I was a more experienced player I’m sure I would have a better experience but I still give it 4 stars as it’s mainly because of me I had a tough time. The views are great though. The first whole I was a little annoying as I hit the fairway but couldn’t play my ball as I couldn’t find it with all the range balls that ended up on the first hole.

Had a great lunch with 5 friends today! Food, atmosphere and company was great! Waitress attentive, all enjoyed their meals. We all want to go back to the Tavern!!

The course conditions were good fairways were well kept, greens rolled smoothly, and overall maintenance showed real care. The layout itself was solid, offering a fair mix of challenges without being overly tricky. Unfortunately, the major drawback was the pace of play. The round moved extremely slow with long waits on most holes, which made what should have been an enjoyable day feel dragged out and frustrating at times.
While I’d return for the quality of the course itself, the slow pace overshadowed much of the experience. With better management of tee times and player flow, this could easily be a four or five star course.

When we visited last Sunday, it wasn't't for golf but for a meeting with someone to talk about having our wedding reception at the Golf Club. After our meeting, we decided on having lunch at The Bog Tavern, the bartenders, waitstaff and hostess were all very welcoming, made us feel at home and that they were there to take care of us. I was surprised with the number of people at the tavern for lunch, families and couples, not what I expected at a restaurant at a Golf Club.
So I ordered the House-made Bloody Mary (it was infused vodka with bacon), bacon strips, lemon, limes, and a couple olives. Put your tongue back in your mouth please... just kidding, but it was soooooo good. I normally get BMs when I'm golfing or having them on special occasions in the morning but when in Rome, at a golf course, definitely worth it. My fiancé and I split the Cheesy Garlic Bread appetizer, can't describe how perfect the crunch, cheesiness, flavor the cheesy bread was! All I can say is that it makes Dominoe's Cheesy Bread taste like cardboard, nothing compared to the Bog Tavern's! Then for the main course she had the Cape Cod Reuben, basically your regular reuben sandwich but with fish instead of the meat, yes, it was THAT delicious, it was a special so cross your fingers that it's on the menu when you go. I had ordered the Spicy Salmon Burger. I was expecting a legit slab of salmon on the buns but it was like a salmon-crab cake, it threw me off at first but it was awesome! Next time we're in Bourne, we're going golfing there and then hitting up the Bog Tavern for lunch, but don't worry I'll make sure to grab 2 of those bloody Mary's before heading out to the course!
